FYS 101         First Year Seminar (1)

To assist the first time full time students in their academic and social integration of the college experience, this course will focus on the support services that enhance study skills and academic learning. Sessions on time management, stress management, study skills, and financial management are explored. Strategic reading and lecture notes, test taking and wellness activities are also addressed to assist students in meeting the academic demands of college life. Community service and civic responsibility are also addressed.     

FYS 102        Academic Success (1)

This course helps students reinforce the universal foundations of academic success including critical thinking, study skills and time management. Additionally, helps students discover and benefit from their own individual strengths and experience. This course is designed to be a step forward toward a more rewarding academic career and students will produce a personalized compelling life plan to set and reach goals.
