The Peter J. Cayan Library is open seven days a week during the academic year so that SUNY Poly community members can take advantage of the many library services when they most need them. The library includes 10 group study and collaboration spaces and two computer lab areas for students to use for academic projects. The second floor of the library is designated quiet study, while the first floor allows for group study and meeting areas that are social. The first floor of the library also includes a full service café, offering locally sourced food, and a café seating area. The Library stocks many course textbooks to help keep the cost of attending SUNY Poly as low as possible. The Library staff is available to assist students in finding the appropriate resources for learning and research. The library offers many services to online and distance SUNY Poly students. The Cayan Library also houses many services that are essential for student and faculty success, including The Learning Center, the Office of Distance Learning, and the IT Help Desk.
