The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) at SUNY Poly provides access, academic support, enrichment activities and financial assistance to students who show promise for succeeding in college but may not have otherwise been offered admission.
SUNY Poly’s EOP program is offered to New York State residents who are enrolled full time and qualify both academically and economically for the program. Only a limited number of students are admitted into EOP each year due to its size. Transfer students interested in EOP have generally been enrolled in EOP, College Discovery, HEOP, SEEK or a similar academic and financial support program at their previous institution.
The program provides structured support services including counseling, tutoring, supportive study halls and enrichment workshops. In addition to academic support, program participants receive financial assistance towards non-tuition related costs (books, etc.). New first-year EOP students are required to attend a summer program on campus prior to the start of the fall semester.
