The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) is a New York State funded initiative designed to help provide a broad range of academic and financial services to New York State residents who, because of academic and economic circumstances, would otherwise be unable to attend a postsecondary educational institution.

EOP provides structured individualized support services to program students including career and personal counseling, tutoring, and developmental and informational workshops. In addition to academic support, program participants receive financial assistance toward their college expenses. Transferring to SUNYIT as an EOP student requires previous matriculation in an EOP, HEOP, College SEEK or Discovery program.
