Freshmen at SUNY Poly take an online math placement exam, usually before orientation, to help them place into appropriate math courses. Your score will be entered into Banner, so you will only be allowed to register for courses in which you have demonstrated readiness. Students typically take a little under 2 hours to complete the exam. You will not be able to register for a SUNY Poly math course without either a suitable math placement score, transfer credit for a prerequisite course, or approved AP Calculus credit.
