The Board of Regents and the New York State Education Department have authorized the State University of New York Polytechnic Institute to confer the following undergraduate degrees: Bachelor of Professional Studies, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, and Bachelor of Business Administration.

SUNY Poly offers Master of Science degree programs in accountancy, computer and information science, family nurse practitioner, information design and technology, nanoscale engineering (Albany campus), nanoscale science (Albany campus), network and computer security, nursing administration, nursing education and telecommunications. SUNY Poly also offers a Master of Business Administration degree program in technology management. Advanced certificates are offered in data analysis, family nurse practitioner, and nursing education.
