Student Project Showcase and Engineering Festival Showcase Students’ Academic and Research Efforts

UTICA – As the semester draws to a close and finals approach, approximately 180 SUNY Polytechnic Institute students participated in two recent events, the Student Project Showcase and Engineering Festival. Students took a short break from studying in order to show their peers and local industry partners what they’ve been working on, including senior capstone projects, research, as well as creative and entrepreneurial projects.

This was the first year that an Engineering Festival has been held on campus, while the Student Project Showcase has become a tradition on the last day of classes for the spring semester.

The latter, organized by the Committee on Research, Scholarship and Creative Works, saw students present through three different modes: academic posters, demonstrations, and lightning talks/pitches. Summaries of the Student Project Showcase presentations can be found at www.sunypolystudent.org/2023.

The Showcase was also featured on WKTV (see video below).
