Over 40 SUNY Poly Faculty and Staff participated in the Student Faculty Research Showcase on April 29.
Organized by the Committee on Research, Scholarship, and Creative Work, the event serves as a platform for students and faculty from all four SUNY Poly colleges to display their innovative projects to peers, faculty, and local industry partners.
Participants were able to compete for cash prizes. Winners were as follows …
1st place: Emran Abbas for his demonstration: “Converting Wind Power to Electrical Power”
2nd place was a tie:
MedSecure Solutions for their poster “Beneath the Surface: Cybersecurity in the Human Body” – this was a student team from Utica University. The MedSecure solutions team consists of John Hrustich and my team members are Christopher Rawlins and Kate Vaughan.
Alvin Oguto for his demonstration of his work “The Mind In Your Machine: An Interactive AI, Proof-Of-Concept”
3rd place was also a tie:
Henry Zelenak for his poster “Modular Fact-Checking with GPT and RAG: An Iterative LLM Approach to FEVER”
Wildcat Fluid Power Club for their poster “NFPA Fluid Power Vehicle Challenge”
