Utica and Online Graduate Programs

All new domestic graduate students are required to complete SUNY Poly Essentials, an online orientation program. The orientation provides information on student services, college policies, academic advisement, course selection guidelines, and more. Confirmed students will receive access to Essentials via their campus email account. Online course registration will take place once the orientation has been completed.

New international students will have an orientation program the week before classes begin on-campus. New international graduate students will be advanced registered. Students will be notified via email once their course registration has been processed.

Albany Graduate Programs

All new graduate students at the Albany campus will contact the Office of Graduate Studies for notification of their faculty advisor. After they have received academic advisement they can proceed with course registration. Confirmed students will receive detailed information via email.

A mandatory on-campus orientation program takes place prior to the start of each semester. Visit sunypoly.edu/orientation, select your start term, for more detailed information for the Albany Graduate Student Orientation.
