Academic Programs – HEGIS Code

The Higher Education General Information System (HEGIS) Taxonomy is a nationally accepted classification scheme for assuring consistency in the curriculum content of courses leading to a degree within a given HEGIS discipline category. Thus, the concept of “information science” is the same for the person studying for a degree in computer and information science, classification number 0701, whether the degree is pursued at SUNY Poly or at another institution. Enrollment in other than the following registered, or otherwise approved,
programs may jeopardize eligibility for certain student aid awards.
