Accreditation

SUNY Polytechnic Institute is accredited by the Board of Regents of the State of New York. Its academic programs are registered by the State Education Department and are accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, effective June 23, 2016 (Middle States Commission of Higher Education; 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104-2680; Tel: 267-284-5000).

Specialized Academic Program Accreditations include:

Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM)
The programs in health information management are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM).

Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
The undergraduate and graduate nursing programs are registered by the New York State Education Department and accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. The CCNE is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as an accrediting agency for nursing programs at both the baccalaureate and graduate levels. Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET (ETAC/ABET)
The following programs are accredited by ETAC/ABET: Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering and Nanoscale Engineering. The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)
The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accredits the SUNY Polytechnic Institute’s undergraduate degree programs in accounting and business as well as the following graduate programs: MBA in technology management, MS in accountancy, Mechanical Engineering, and Nanoscale Engineering.
