SUNY Poly offers on campus housing in traditional residence halls and suite style buildings for undergraduate and graduate students at our Utica site. Upper-class students and graduate students reside in Mohawk and Adirondack complexes. Buildings hold 16 students in 4-person suites with a shared bathroom and common living room. Bedrooms in Mohawk and Adirondack are primarily single, with a small number of double rooms available in Adirondack only. Both Mohawk and Adirondack have an efficiency kitchen and lounge available in a common area for resident student use.
Our Albany site also has a residency requirement for first year and sophomore students. We are currently in the process of designing and constructing a state of the art residential complex at our Albany site, anticipated to open in 2017. Until our campus residence opens, our Albany students reside in hotel or apartment properties leased and managed by SUNY Polytechnic Institute. Our leased housing locations offer full amenities and furnished rooms and/or suites, and are fully staffed by professional Residence Directors and Resident Advisors.
Ethernet, wireless and cable service are provided for all resident students. Resident students also have access to laundry facilities within their own complex. Returning students are eligible to select their own suitemates and housing via a lottery system in the spring semester of each year.
All resident students are required to purchase a meal plan. For more information regarding housing, dining, or the terms of the housing license, please contact the Residential Life and Housing Office at (315) 792-7810 or visit the SUNY Poly website.
