Library

Named after SUNYIT’s third president, the Peter J. Cayan Library is open seven days a week so that SUNYIT community members can take advantage of the many library services when they most need them. The library includes ten group study and collaboration spaces and two computer lab areas for students to use to complete their academic projects. The library staff is available any time to assist students in finding the appropriate resources, whether that be an article from one of the numerous electronic databases, a book from our extensive on-campus collection, or material from another library via interlibrary loan. On and off campus students can also avail themselves of the library services remotely, including access to a reference librarian 24 hours a day. Also housed in the library are the IT Help Desk, the Learning Center with its writing lab and math, science and engineering lab, the instructional technologist, and  the computer resource coordinator, who assists with online learning issues. The campus community is able to find help in several areas at the library.
