Time Limit on Completing Degree Requirements

Courses completed more than seven (7) years before the term in which the degree is awarded may not be used for credit toward the advanced degree. In the event that attendance has been interrupted due to extenuating circumstances, exceptions may be made by the department with approval of the Provost.

Degree requirements are determined by the catalog under which the student is initially matriculated, and remain in force if the student maintains continuous matriculation. A student who discontinues enrollment for three consecutive semesters or more may apply for readmission and then fulfill the degree requirements in effect at that time.
