What are the temperature screening measures that are in place on the Albany campus?

Out of an abundance of caution to ensure everyone’s health and safety, starting on 03/31/2020 at 5:00 AM, NY CREATES will be conducting temperature screening as a condition of entry. If possible, take your temperature at home prior to coming to the site. If it is elevated or you are feeling ill, PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE SITE. Persons entering Tri Centennial Dr. will be directed to the G lot or visitor lot to temporarily park and instructed to enter the NFE building to have their temperature checked. The vehicle occupants will be screened utilizing an infrared thermometer and:

  1. If the occupant’s temperature is less than 100.4 (100.3 and BELOW) they may enter with no further action.
  2. If the occupant’s temperature is 100.4 or greater the occupant will be given the choice to leave campus or will be directed to the space located in the NFE lobby next to the ATM machine and directed to sit for 30 seconds.
  3. Staff from NY CREATES EHS or ERT will RE-TAKE TEMP and:
    – If less than 100.4 then allow the individual to enter the site with no further action
    – If 100.4 or greater, then the individual cannot enter the site and should follow their organization’s protocols; any impacted SUNY Poly employees should contact their supervisor and Human Resources at rhaines@sunypoly.edu.
