The minor in Surveying provides students pursing a degree in engineering or engineering technology the coursework needed to satisfy education eligibility requirements in order to pursue licensure as a land surveyor in New York State. The courses focus on the application of land surveying principles and boundary law. A course in geographic information systems provides additional information on measurement/analysis of spatial features and photogrammetry and aerial photo interpretations. Students currently admitted to either the Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology program are eligible to apply for the minor. Credits required for minor 17-20.
