The minor in public health is a valuable option for students pursuing nursing, biology, psychology, sociology, health information management or other related programs. The job outlook for trained public health specialists is expected to grow over the next decade, and health-related professions are among the fastest-growing careers. Students in this minor will gain the skills needed to tackle the most urgent public health issues in the country.

*At least nine credit hours must be taken at SUNY Poly. At least nine credit hours must not be required courses in the student’s major. The student must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 (average of “C”) in the minor.
