Dr. Stam named a Woman of the Year

A member of SUNY Poly’s faculty has been named a Woman of the Year.

The Mohawk Valley Chapter of New York State Women Inc., in conjunction with New York State Women in History month, will host its Women of the Year awards dinner in March at Daniele’s Banquet Specialists.

The event, which will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, will honor outstanding female community and business leaders.

Among those honored is SUNY Polytechnic Professor of Anthropology and Midtown Utica Community Center Board president Kathryn R. Stam.

Other honorees include a first assistant district attorney, regional president for a nationwide insurance provider, and more.
