Services for International Students

The Office of International Student Services, located in the Student Center, Room S105, serves the international community of SUNYIT which  includes students, visiting scholars, and faculty.  Services include:

  • Orientation: initial and on-going orientation programming covering various topics related to living and working in the US.
  • Immigration:  offering workshops on various immigration issues and assisting students in maintaining their status in compliance with immigration regulations and benefits.
  • Advocacy: assisting international students with their interactions with campus, community, state and federal offices.
  • Activities: organizing social experiences that complement the educational experience.
  • Employment:  assisting students in developing skills and experience in full and part-time off-campus work programs related to their studies (Curricular Practical Training and Optional Practical Training).
