In particular, there are many aspects of nanotechnology that require an advanced knowledge of chemical principles. Some examples include development of photoresists for high-resolution lithography, synthesis of nanoparticles, thin film growth via chemical vapor deposition or atomic layer deposition, atomic layer etching, and area selective deposition. The minor in Nanochemistry also complements other disciplines such as biology, chemistry, electrical engineering, engineering science, mathematics, mechanical engineering, and physics.

Total credit hours: 20-22

A.
