During this visit Dr. Steele gave a seminar on entitled:\u00a0<strong><em>Diagrammatic Renormalization Methods for QCD Correlation Functions<\/em><\/strong> and engaged in many interesting discussions with the physics faculty.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Professor Steele is an accomplished elementary particle physicist <a href=\"https:\/\/inspirehep.net\/authors\/987667\">who has published over 180<\/a> well-<a href=\"https:\/\/scholar.google.ca\/citations?user=kVafkagAAAAJ&amp;hl=en&amp;oi=ao\">respected articles<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1864\" src=\"https:\/\/webapp.sunypoly.edu\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/psyhcis.jpg\" alt=\"Dr. Tom Steele\" width=\"468\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/webapp.sunypoly.edu\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/psyhcis.jpg 468w, https:\/\/webapp.sunypoly.edu\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/psyhcis-300x188.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px\" \/>\r\n<figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><\/figcaption>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Prof. Steele has visited SUNY Poly on several occasions in the past, has given talks, and has attended meetings with SUNY Poly leadership related to various physics program development.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>In addition to his most recent visit in 2023, Dr. Steele has given talks at the elementary particle physics conferences at SUNY Poly in 2002 and 2003, and has visited SUNY Poly for research collaboration with Amir Fariborz in 2012, 2014, 2015, and 2016. \u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Steele and Fariborz have developed an important connection between two different theoretical frameworks in the theory of strong interactions, namely between the QCD Sum-Rules and Chiral Lagrangians. This connection has been promising and can have important implications for understanding the properties of strong interactions in the non-perturbative domain.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Some of the resulting publications include:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>A.H.
