{"id":1688,"date":"2023-10-24T11:32:11","date_gmt":"2023-10-24T15:32:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webapp.sunypoly.edu\/stories\/?p=1688"},"modified":"2025-10-30T16:24:02","modified_gmt":"2025-10-30T20:24:02","slug":"trinity-critelli-23-finance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp.sunypoly.edu\/stories\/trinity-critelli-23-finance\/","title":{"rendered":"Trinity Critelli &#8217;23: Finance"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>Frankfort native, Trinity Critelli was on the way to a softball tournament when her dad put on a Dave Ramsey podcast that sparked her interest in finance.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\u201cI just thought it was the most interesting thing in the world,\u201d Critelli said. \u201cI love finance, I want to help people achieve their goals and have financial peace. I honestly could not see myself doing anything else.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>She began an internship at Utica-based financial planning firm, Advanced Group Financial Services, while in high school and has been working there ever since. It was important for her to find a college where she could pursue her degree while also continuing to work at the firm. SUNY Poly was exactly what she was looking for.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Critelli worked with her academic advisor to make a seamless transfer from MVCC where she received an Associate\u2019s Degree in Business Administration.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Critelli graduated with an B.A. in Finance with a minor in Accounting in May and is now in her first semester in SUNY Poly\u2019s MBA program. She is working her way to being a self-sufficient financial planner. She attended a financial planning jumpstart program in Nebraska to help her move forward in her goal of one day being able to run her own client meetings. \u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1750\" src=\"https:\/\/webapp.sunypoly.edu\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Jumpstart-Picture-1-1024x756.jpg\" alt=\"Critelli and her peers at the financial planning jumpstart program in Nebraska\" width=\"1024\" height=\"756\" srcset=\"https:\/\/webapp.sunypoly.edu\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Jumpstart-Picture-1-1024x756.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/webapp.sunypoly.edu\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Jumpstart-Picture-1-300x222.jpg 300w, https:\/\/webapp.sunypoly.edu\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Jumpstart-Picture-1-768x567.jpg 768w, https:\/\/webapp.sunypoly.edu\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Jumpstart-Picture-1.jpg 1290w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/>\r\n<figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Critelli and her peers at the financial planning jumpstart program in Nebraska<\/figcaption>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Critelli is currently fully licensed with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), boasting several licenses.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Critelli recounts a specific investment class she took with Associate Professor of Finance Matthew Brigida. \u201cHe was very knowledgeable. That class was super effective and translates into my work because we actually got a simulation in trading throughout that class.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>On top of her academics and work life, Critelli is key member of the SUNY Poly softball team and also serves on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
