Why did you choose SUNY Poly?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

After being an exchange student 20 minutes away from Poly, I wanted to come back to America for college. I didn\u2019t want to go to a completely new environment though, so I was looking at colleges local to where I was an exchange student and SUNY Poly was my favorite one. I loved how small the school and campus was and the opportunities the psychology program had for their students.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Why did you decide to pursue Psychology as a major?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

I started liking psychology during my freshman year of high school. As soon as we started learning about it, I realized I would love to know more about it, and I would love to work in the field. The human mind is fascinating to me, and I have always wanted to do something where I can help people.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

How would you describe your relationship with your professors?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

All of the professors I have had so far have been so nice and helpful. Any time I needed advice or an extra push, they were there for me. I can\u2019t complain about any of them. I also love how small my classes are; it makes it so much easier to create a relationship with the professors.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Have you completed an internship?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

I have just started doing research with Dr. Weldon this semester, and it has been a great experience. We are working on creating an experiment, and we are very close to running participants. This is definitely an experience I need for grad school and my future career.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Are you involved in a club or extracurricular activity on campus?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

I am a residential advisor, student ambassador, and tutor. I am also a part of the psychology and sociology club.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

What has been your favorite class at SUNY Poly so far?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Forensic Biology. I took it in the spring semester of my freshman year, and I loved it. The way the course is structured is great, and I love that it involves a lab, so you can try hands-on what you are talking about in the lectures.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Do you have a favorite campus life experience that stands out to you?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The best experience on campus so far was when a couple of my friends and I hosted a Super Bowl event this year in the Student Center, and so many people showed up. It was a very nice night we all enjoyed, and I was happy everything worked out. It was one of my favorite nights on campus.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

After you graduate, what do you think you will miss most about SUNY Poly?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The sense of community. I love how small the campus is. I can be walking around, and I know almost everyone passing by me.<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
