Leadership Mohawk Valley announces Class of 2017

This summer, Leadership Mohawk Valley, which is houses at SUNY poly in Utica, announced it latest group of individuals working toward becoming effective leaders to the benefit of themselves, their respective organizations, and the community.

The forty-one members of the Leadership Mohawk Valley Class of 2017 are:

The new recruits were welcomed during an Opening Retreat BBQ on August 4 in the multipurpose room of the SUNY Poly Student Center. Members of the class of 2017 were given the opportunity to network with their incoming classmates, as well as reconnect with LMV alums, sponsors, and supporters over dinner, drinks, and the 9th Annual LMV Kickball Classic.

Leadership Mohawk Valley (LMV) was created in 1990 as a joint effort of the Herkimer, Utica, and Rome Chambers of Commerce and area business leaders.

The 10-month leadership program develops a knowledgeable group of people prepared to be leaders in the community and to shape its future. It also provides experience in group dynamics, team leadership, presentation skills and professional and personal growth. The “awareness and engagement” focus of the LMV program has produced more than 800 graduates from the region between Little Falls and Rome.
