Recent Publications by Faculty Members

Paul Charbel, Adjunct Professor of History at SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Utica, recently had a chapter published in a historical book of essays.

The book, titled A Galaxy Here and Now: Historical and Cultural Readings of Star Wars was edited by Peter W. Lee. Dr. Charbel’s chapter is titled Deconstructing the Desert: “The Bedouin Ideal and the True Children of Tatooine.”

The book is available from McFarland Books.

David Hofmann, Assistant Professor of Criminology and Sociology has recently had a paper entitled “The Influence of Charismatic Authority on Operational Strategies and Attack Outcomes in Terrorist Groups” accepted for publication in the peer-reviewed Journal of Strategic Security.
