Stam presents papers on refugees

Refugee Project BannersKathryn Stam, associate professor of anthropology, presented a paper,  “Trust and Identity for Bhutanese-Nepali Refugees in the U.S.” in a panel called Reflections from the Field: Methods and Research at the 44th Annual Conference on South Asia at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI. Oct. 24-5, 2015.

She also presented a paper, “Snapshots of Resettlement: Stories of Asian Refugees in Upstate NY,” at the New York Conference on Asian Studies at Vassar College, Poughkeepsie, NY. Oct 16-17, 2015. The conference theme was Global Asia: Social, Cultural, and Political Spaces. She displayed the Starting Over project traveling exhibit that was funded by the UUP-IDA award last summer and designed by web coordinator Lynne Browne.
