Fall semester preparations continue

Faculty and staff at SUNY Poly are preparing to welcome new and returning students as the start of a new academic year is just a few weeks away. Here’s a sample of preparatory events and activities, recent and upcoming:

* Incoming freshmen—members of the Class of 2019—and their parents got their first taste of the SUNY Poly experience during two orientation programs, June 3-4 and July 14-15.

* New transfer student orientation programs, which included meetings with faculty, academic advisement and registration, were held in June and July.

* The summer program for Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) students is underway and continues for the next week.

* Classes start Monday, August 31.
