Boston science museum head to speak at commencement

The Class of 2015 will hear from Dr. Ioannis Miaoulis, president and director of the Museum of Science, Boston, at SUNY Poly’s May 9 commencement ceremony on the Utica campus.

Miaoulis previously served in several capacities at Tufts University:  dean of the School of Engineering, associate provost, interim dean of the University’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and professor of mechanical engineering. He will deliver the keynote address at the ceremony, which will be held in the Wildcat Field House.

All candidates who became eligible for graduation from August 2014 through the end of the current academic year have been invited to take part in the commencement ceremony. The event begins with a formal procession in Wildcat Field House  at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, and will be followed by a reception for graduates and guests in the Student Center.

Commencement weekend also includes the annual academic awards banquet, which will be held in the Wildcat Field House on Friday, May 8. More information is available at www.sunyit.edu/commencement.
