Provost announces interim deans

September 2014

William W. Durgin, Provost, recently sent the following message to faculty and staff:

Colleagues,

This is a brief status report regarding the formation of our Colleges which are now finalized as:

College of Arts and Sciences
College of Health Sciences and Management
College of Engineering
College of Nanoscale Sciences
College of Nanoscale Engineering and Technology Innovation

It is my pleasure to announce that:

Dr. Zora Thomova (Mathematics) will be the interim dean of our College of Arts and Sciences,
Dr. Robert Yeh (Business) will be the interim dean of our College of Health Sciences and Management,
Dr. Andrew Wolfe (Engineering) will be the interim dean of our College of Engineering.

Interim Dean appointments for the College of Nanoscale Sciences and the College of Nanoscale Engineering and Technology Innovation are expected soon.

In addition, Dr. John Marsh will be the Associate Vice President for Research and Dr. Steven Schneider will be the Director of Emerging Educational Collaborations.

Thank you all for your help and participation during this restructuring. You all know now that the overall institution will likely be known as the SUNY Polytechnic Institute. Finally, with regard to the logo, we will retain a consulting firm to help develop an image we can all support, with the process involving wide and thorough consultation.
