Robert EdgellRobert Edgell, assistant professor of technology management, travelled with a group of four SUNYIT students who participated in Design Challenge 2014, February 16-18, at Temple University, Philadelphia, Pa.

 

Kaylynn IglesiasKaylynn Iglesias, transfer coordinator, presented “Building Relationships: The 2yr/4yr Partnership” at the 12th Annual National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students, February 5-7, Atlanta, Ga. Iglesias and co-presenter Michael Henningsen, coordinator of transfer services at MVCC, described the importance of meeting the needs of transfer students through collaboration between two-year and four-year colleges.

Firas KhasawehFiras A. Khasawneh, assistant professor of mechanical engineering, participated in the Institute for Mathematics and its Applications (IMA) Annual Program Year Workshop, “Algebraic Topology in Dynamics, Differential Equations, and Experimental Data,” February 10-14,  and presented “Towards Utilizing Topological Data Analysis for Studying Machining Models” at the IMA’s annual program seminar, February 19, at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minn.

Kathryn StamKathryn Stam, associate professor of anthropology, presented “Cultural Adaptation for a Bhutanese-Nepali Refugee Community in Utica, NY,” at the Himalayan Studies conference, March 13-15, Yale University, New Haven, Conn.
