Spring semester preparation underway

With the start of classes less than a week away, new and returning students, faculty and staff are preparing for the new semester.

This week, new students took part in orientation in the Student Center; it was the second of two programs designed to welcome new students to SUNYIT (the first orientation session was held last month). Orientation programs include academic advisement, meetings with academic department chairs and faculty, and registration for classes.

Spring semester classes start Tuesday, January 21. And on Thursday, January 23, Acting President Robert Geer will preside at the all-campus meeting for faculty and staff that traditionally kicks off the new semester. The meeting will begin at noon in the Student Center multipurpose room.
