SUNYIT received a number of awards over the summer, recognizing the quality of its institutional advancement, communication and recruitment support materials and programs. Six awards were presented to SUNYIT at the annual meeting of SUNYCUAD, the State University of New York Council for University Advancement:

Among campuses honored by SUNYCUAD this year, SUNYIT tied Buffalo State for the second-highest number of awards received—six each; Binghamton University received the most, seven.

Also over the summer, SUNYIT’s “Excellence” ad series received a Hermes Gold Award in the writing category. Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional materials and programs, and emerging technologies.
