New York Balance – webinars

To make learning less complicated, NYS-Balance provides online training through the monthly webinar series. Sessions cover a range of practical work and life topics.

NYS-Balance is a resource and referral program offered by Work-Life Services with funding provided by the negotiated agreements between the State and CSEA, PEF, UUP, DC-37, NYSCOPBA, GSEU, and Council 82, and by the Governor’s Office of Employee Relations for employees designated M/C.

For any webinar that you plan to attend, be sure to register in advance on the NYS-Balance website. To participate, you will need an Internet-connected PC and a phone. If the webinar is not scheduled during your break or lunch time, you can view it later online at your convenience.

CSEA Tuition Benefits Program

We are pleased to announce the Partnership’s Tuition Benefits Program for 2013-2014 for eligible CSEA-represented New York State executive-branch employees.  Copies of the catalog and application forms are available for download at: www.nyscseapartnership.org

Some of the program highlights include:

  • Eligible CSEA-represented New York State executive-branch employees can apply for TWO tuition benefits. Applications must be received by March 31, 2014.
  • Any course taken must begin between April 1, 2013 and March 31, 2014 or the employee must be actively participating in the course sometime between these dates.
  • Eligible employees can also receive reimbursement for an unlimited number of credit-by-examinations (up to $295 per examination) and reimbursement of one certification and licensure examination fee (up to $300) in addition to their standard benefits.
  • Applications will be accepted by mail (NYS & CSEA Partnership for Education and Training, Corporate Plaza East-Suite 502, 240 Washington Avenue Extension, Albany, NY 12203), or by fax at (518) 486-1989 or (518) 473-0056.
  • Educational Advisement Services are available to CSEA-represented New York State employees by calling (518) 486-7814 or (800) 253-4332.
