Covers the ethical aspects of business with particular emphasis to intellectual property (IP) rights as they relate to technology innovation and high technology environments.\u00a0 The IP issues which will be addressed include copyrights, patents, trademarks, software, domain names, licenses, royalties, and business processes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BUS 505\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Multinational Economics of Technology (3)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Managerial economics is the application of economic theory and methodology to decision-making problems encountered by public and private institutions in a multinational setting and within the framework of technology innovation.\u00a0 Emphasis is on the identification and selection of alternative means of obtaining given objectives as efficiently as possible.\u00a0 It is a special branch of economics bridging the gap between abstract theory and managerial practice.\u00a0 Areas of study will include managerial economics and economic theory, statistical and econometric applications, demand, supply, markets, costs, profits and government and business.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>BUS 595\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 MBA Internship (3)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Internship placements provide students with a field experience related to their academic preparation enabling them to apply classroom instruction to the work site.\u00a0 Students are placed with an organization related to their major and specific area of interest to work along with, and be proctored by, experienced professionals.\u00a0 These are opportunities that cannot be duplicated in the classroom environment and provide an excellent transition into the field.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BUS 610\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Artificial Intelligence in Business (3)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Artificial Intelligence is no longer a technical frontier; it is a fundamental pillar of modern business strategy. This course provides MBA students with a non-technical yet rigorous foundation in AI and Machine Learning (ML). Designed specifically for business leaders, an emphasis will be on the fundamental concepts of how machines find patterns, learn from experience, and make decisions. Students will explore how AI drives values across the enterprise- from automating supply chains and hyper-personalizing marketing to disrupting traditional financial models, establishing a foundation needed to lead technical teams and manage AI-driven products. No prior coding experience is required.
