Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (20 U.S.C. § 1681) is federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs and activities receiving federal financial assistance. Under Title IX, SUNY Polytechnic Institute will promptly respond to complaints of sex discrimination in a way that limits its effects and prevents its recurrence. SUNY Poly has appointed Title IX Coordinators to resolve complaints and address issues of sex-based discrimination and sexual misconduct, as well as dating violence, domestic violence, harassment and stalking.
