Graduate Record Examination (GRE)
Applicants to the MS programs in computer science and network and computer security may be required to submit scores from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Test. The GRE is administered through the Educational Testing Service (ETS).
The aptitude test is a 4 hour examination which measures general scholastic ability at the graduate level and yields separate scores for verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and analytical writing abilities. The GRE is a computer-based exam offered at testing centers around the world. Score reports take approximately 10-15 days to reach the SUNY Poly Graduate Admissions Office. Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)
Applicants to the graduate programs in accounting (MS), forensic accounting evaluation (CAS) and technology management (MBA) are required to submit scores from the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). The GMAT is administered through the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC).
The GMAT is a four-hour aptitude test designed to measure certain academic skills important in the study of management at the graduate level. This test does not measure judgment or knowledge in any specific subject matter, and those who take it are neither required nor expected to have undergraduate preparation in business subjects. The GMAT is a computer-based exam offered at testing centers around the world. Score reports take approximately five days to reach the SUNY Poly Graduate Admissions Office.
