In addition to the standard admission requirements pertaining to graduate study, international applicants must also submit the following materials for admission consideration:<\/p>\n

Transcript Evaluation:\u00a0<\/strong>International applicants may be required to have their transcripts evaluated by an approved credential evaluator to determine the credit equivalencies of previously completed coursework outside of the United States. The National Association of Credential Evaluation Services<\/a>\u00a0 has an approved list of credential evaluators on their website.<\/p>\n

Financial Documents:\u00a0<\/strong>International applicants must submit the SUNY Poly\u00a0FSA-4<\/a> document along with a certified bank statement or affidavit of support. Please contact the International Admissions Office\u00a0for the required minimum level of financial support that is required at the time of application.<\/p>\n

Proof of English Proficiency:<\/strong> International applicants must demonstrate minimum levels of English proficiency by achieving the minimum score noted below from \u00a0one of the following standardized exams for the campus that they are applying to:<\/p>\n

Minimum Acceptable Scores \u2013 Utica Campus Programs<\/em><\/strong>
\nTest of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): Internet based score of 79
\nInternational English Language Testing System (IELTS): Overall band score of 6.5
\nPTE Academic (PTE): Overall score of 53
\nDuolingo English Test (DET): Total score of 105<\/p>\n

Recommended Acceptable Scores \u2013\u00a0 Albany Campus Programs<\/em><\/strong>
\nTest of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): Internet based score of 100
\nInternational English Language Testing System (IELTS): Overall band score of 7.5
\nPTE Academic (PTE): Overall score of 73
\nDuolingo English Test (DET): Total score of 120<\/p>\n

International student applications should reflect the student\u2019s name exactly as it appears on their passport. SUNY Polytechnic Institute is authorized under Federal law to enroll non-immigrant students.<\/p>\n

Cancellation Policy for English Proficiency Exams<\/strong><\/h2>\n

For Applicants
\n<\/strong>If SUNY Poly receives notification of an invalid English proficiency score for an international applicant, the applicant should submit a new, valid, official test score.\u00a0 Any application with a canceled score will be considered incomplete until SUNY Poly is in receipt of a new, valid, official test score or other acceptable proof of English proficiency.<\/p>\n

For Accepted Students
\n<\/strong>If SUNY Poly receives notification of an invalid English proficiency score for an accepted applicant, the offer of admission will be withdrawn. To gain admission, the applicant should submit a new, valid, official test score or other acceptable proof of English proficiency meeting SUNY Poly\u2019s minimum requirements by the prescribed application deadlines.<\/p>\n

For Enrolled Students
\n<\/strong>If SUNY Poly receives notification of an invalid English proficiency score for an international student who has already arrived in the United States or is currently enrolled, his\/her records will be reviewed and it will be determined if the student should submit a new test score, if a new test score should be waived, or if the student should be removed from the program.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
