Academic Programs \u2013 HEGIS Code<\/b><\/p>\n

The Higher Education General Information System (HEGIS) Taxonomy is a nationally accepted classification scheme for assuring consistency in the curriculum content of courses leading to a degree within a given HEGIS discipline category. Thus, the concept of \u201cinformation science\u201d is the same for the person studying for a degree in computer and information science, classification number 0701, whether the degree is pursued at SUNY\u00a0Poly\u00a0or at another institution. Enrollment in other than the following registered, or otherwise approved,
