The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.naces.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Association of Credential Evaluation Services<\/a>\u00a0 has an approved list of credential evaluators on their website.<\/p>\n<p><b>Financial Documents:\u00a0<\/b>International applicants must submit the SUNY Poly\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/webapp.sunypoly.edu\/grad-catalog-2017-2018\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/FSA-4.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FSA-4<\/a> document along with a certified bank statement or affidavit of support. Please contact the International Admissions Office\u00a0for the required minimum level of financial support that is required at the time of application.<\/p>\n<p><b>Proof of English Proficiency:<\/b> International applicants must demonstrate minimum levels of English proficiency through one of the following standardized exams:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)<\/li>\n<li>International English Language Testing System (IELTS)<\/li>\n<li>PTE Academic<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Minimum Acceptable Scores \u2013 Utica Site Programs<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\nTOEFL: Internet based score of 79 | Computer based score of 214 | Paper based score of 550<br \/>\nIELTS: Overall band score of 6.5<br \/>\nPTE: Overall score of 53<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Minimum Acceptable Scores \u2013\u00a0 Albany Site Programs<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\nTOEFL: Internet based score of 100 | Computer based score of 250 | Paper based score of 600<br \/>\nIELTS: Overall band score of 7.5<\/p>\n<p>International student applications should reflect the student\u2019s name exactly as it appears on their passport. SUNY Polytechnic Institute is authorized under Federal law to enroll non-immigrant students.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Cancellation Policy for English Proficiency Exams<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>For Applicants<br \/>\n<\/strong>If SUNY Poly receives notification of an invalid English proficiency score for an international applicant, the applicant should submit a new, valid, official test score.\u00a0 Any application with a canceled score will be considered incomplete until SUNY Poly is in receipt of a new, valid, official test score or other acceptable proof of English proficiency.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For Accepted Students<br \/>\n<\/strong>If SUNY Poly receives notification of an invalid English proficiency score for an accepted applicant, the offer of admission will be withdrawn.\u00a0 To gain admission, the applicant should submit a new, valid, official test score or other acceptable proof of English proficiency meeting SUNY Poly\u2019s minimum requirements by the prescribed application deadlines.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For Enrolled Students<br \/>\n<\/strong>If SUNY Poly receives notification of an invalid English proficiency score for an international student who has already arrived in the United States or is currently enrolled, his\/her records will be reviewed and it will be determined if the student should submit a new test score, if a new test score should be waived, or if the student should be removed from the program.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In addition to the standard admission requirements pertaining to graduate study, international applicants must also submit the following materials for admission consideration: Transcript Evaluation:\u00a0International applicants may be required to have their transcripts evaluated by an approved credential evaluator to determine the credit equivalencies of previously completed coursework outside of the United States.
