A student with a disability should discuss individual needs with the Disability <span class=\"s1\">Services Coordinator at <\/span>any time to understand options for academic accommodations or disability services at SUNYIT. An appointment with the Disability Services <span class=\"s1\">Coordinator, <\/span>(315-792-7170) is needed for the consideration, planning, and provision of the necessary support services.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Graduate students can receive assistance <\/span>with the following services: <span class=\"s1\">orientation to SUNYIT<\/span>, regular counseling, individualized advisement and registration, assistive technology training and the determination of academic accommodations based on a student\u2019s documented disability.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The Disability Services <span class=\"s1\">Coordinator <\/span>serves as a liaison with the New York State Vocational Rehabilitation Service, the New York State Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired, and other agencies serving or sponsoring the student.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Students with disabilities seeking accessible rooms in the residence halls should contact the Residential Life and Housing Office at 315-792-7810.\u00a0 For further information regarding the Disability Services Program at SUNYIT go to the Disability Services Website: <a href=\"http:\/\/sunyit.edu\/disability_services\"><span class=\"s2\">http:\/\/sunyit.edu\/disability_services<\/span><\/a> or email ds@sunyit.edu<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SUNYIT welcomes students with disabilities.
