{"id":1041,"date":"2013-09-13T14:20:53","date_gmt":"2013-09-13T19:20:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sunyit.edu\/apps\/catalog\/grad\/?page_id=1041"},"modified":"2013-09-13T14:20:53","modified_gmt":"2013-09-13T19:20:53","slug":"advanced-certificate-in-nursing-education","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/webapp.sunypoly.edu\/grad-catalog-2013-2014\/ms-nursing\/advanced-certificate-in-nursing-education\/","title":{"rendered":"Certificate for Advanced Study (CAS) in Nursing Education"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Offered Online Only<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Department of Nursing &amp; Health Professions is authorized by the New York State Education Department to offer a post-master\u2019s Certificate for Advanced Study in Nursing Education to registered nurses who already possess both baccalaureate and master\u2019s degrees in nursing from accredited programs.<\/p>\n<p>Admission requirements for the post-master\u2019s certificate program are the same as for the department\u2019s MS nursing program except applicants must have a minimum 3.2 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) for all graduate level work completed.<\/p>\n<p>The Program focuses on the specialty courses in curriculum development, instructional methodologies, measurement and assessment and evaluation approaches; and includes the cognate course of grant writing.
